AI Tech Can Identify <br />Genetic Disorders <br />From a Person's Face Named Deep Gestalt, <br />the AI technology outperformed <br />clinicians in three separate trials. The study was<br />published in the <br />journal Nature Medicine. Using a photograph of a patient's face, <br />Deep Gestalt would propose a list of <br />ten possible rare genetic disorders. The photos used were of <br />patients already diagnosed <br />with particular disorders. The technology could <br />identify the correct <br />syndromes 91% of the time. Jorge Cardoso, King's College London, via CNN Critics of the technology <br />say it could be used to <br />discriminate against people <br />with pre-existing conditions.
