U.S. President Donald Trump says his administration's trade negotiations with China are "having tremendous success".<br />He made the remark on Thursday as he took off to the U.S. border with Mexico on the 20th day of a partial shutdown of the U.S. government.<br />He also said China was "far more honorable" and easier to deal with than members of the opposition Democratic Party.<br />During their meeting in Beijing this week, the U.S Trade Representative focused on China's promise to buy more U.S. products such as agricultural and industrial goods. <br />
