Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad recalled that he had presented a first generation Proton Saga to the late Johor ruler Sultan Iskandar Sultan Ismail more than three decades ago.<br /><br />He told reporters this after being driven to the Senai International Airport in the same blue-coloured car by Sultan Iskandar's son and present Johor ruler Sultan Ibrahim on Thursday.<br /><br />Responding to a question on how he felt, Mahathir replied: “Very good (for a) 34-year-old car... Kept well. It's a manual (gearbox)... steering was very good. No breakdown.”
