The chief of South Korea's ruling Democratic Party has vowed to do everything he can this year to revitalize the economy and foster peace on the peninsula.<br /> In his new year's press conference on Sunday,... Lee Hae-chan said that the ruling party will be at the forefront to support the government's goal of building a nation in which everyone prospers.<br />He said the National Assembly passed a number of bills last year to improve people's livelihoods,... but noted that some people have not been able to feel the impact.<br />To this, he said that the party will do more to reach out to those in need,... and also focus on building a social dialogue.<br />When asked about the prospects of a second North Korea-U.S. summit,.. Lee said that it might happen sometime in February.<br />He added that if those talks do take place,... this time they need to bring about substantive results,... saying that will probably be discussed during high-level talks between the two sides.<br />Lee said likely on the table will be shutting down the North's nuclear facilities in exchange for sanctions relief. <br />
