Applications for child benefit allowance start today in South Korea.<br />Families with a child under six years old can apply for a monthly payment of around 90 U.S. dollars.<br />Even families in the highest ten percent income bracket are eligible,... as from this year, child benefit allowance will be given to everyone.<br />It applies to children born after February 1st, 2013 and applications will be accepted until March 31st.<br />Starting from September, the allowance will be expanded to cover children under seven years old. <br />
