Clint Eastwood Stars In True-Life Story Of A 90-Year-Old Drug Smuggler

<br /> Clint Eastwood takes the lead in a new film based on a New York Times Magazine article, The Sinaloa Cartel’s 90-Year-Old Drug Mule.<br />The movie follows the true story of Leo Sharp, a World War II veteran who became a drug mule for the infamous Sinaloa Cartel.<br />Channel 24 reports that 88-year-old Clint Eastwood directed and produced the film, in addition to playing the lead role.<br />This is the first time that Clint has been back on the silver screen since 2012 when he starred in Trouble with the Curve.<br />The film opened in American theaters December 14, 2018, and will open in South African theaters January 18, 2019. <br />
