California Is About <br />to Get Pummeled <br />by a Winter Storm The state is expecting <br />several feet of snow, <br />flooding rain and mudslides. Areas that were devastated <br />by last years fires are <br />particularly susceptible <br />to mudslides. Evacuations have already <br />been ordered in Los Angeles, <br />Riverside and Santa Barbara counties. Riverside Official News Release, via 'USA Today' Heavy snow caused <br />closures on I-5, the state's main <br />highway running north and south. As much as 7 feet of snow <br />is possible in the mountains <br />of central and southern Sierra. The intense wet <br />weather does have <br />a silver lining, as California <br />remains in a drought.
