Mariah Carey Sues <br />Her Former Assistant The singer is suing her <br />former personal assistant <br />for more than $3 million. The "Hero" singer has <br />accused Lianna Azarian <br />of secretly recording her <br />doing "embarrassing" things. Carey says she then <br />threatened to release the <br />videos unless she gave her $8 million. Carey hired Azarian in March 2015 <br />but fired her in November 2017. She claims if the clips were made public<br />they could be extremely damaging to <br />her, both personally and professionally. The 48-year-old singer <br />paid the employee up to <br />$327,000 a year until she was fired. She claims the <br />alleged blackmail <br />started shortly afterwards.
