According to Reuters, most public schools in Los Angeles only have a school nurse on staff once a week.<br />This means that if children get sick when the school nurse is out, they're usually on their own.<br />More support staff, that includes school nurses is one of the things that L.A. teachers are fighting for.<br />They have been on strike for a full week, since January 14, throughout Los Angeles Unified School District. <br />
