South Korea's Ministry of Economy and Finance laid out plans to boost the people's livelihoods at a Cabinet meeting Tuesday... as part of measures related to the upcoming Lunar New Year holiday.<br />The ministry says it will spend almost 130 million U.S. dollars to increase the number of jobs for the elderly.<br />It'll set aside around 80 million dollars to support regions that have experienced employment shocks following sluggish growth among local firms.<br />In addition, it'll sharply increase the amount of gift certificates that can be used in traditional local markets this year.<br />An emergency headquarters will also be established during the holiday period to minimize traffic congestion. <br />
