A dragon boat race has been held on an icy river in northern China’s Jiayin County on December 28, 2018.<br /><br />The video shows four groups of rowers sitting in dragon boats fitted with skate blades and propelling themselves forward with ice picks. <br /><br />This is in contrast with normal dragon boat races, which are a traditional sport normally held in the water using paddles.
