he Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) has suspended the month-long teachers strike and directed its members to resume teaching on Monday.<br /><br />The Union Secretary General Wilson Sossion says the strike has been suspended following the court order requiring the union to halt industrial action for three months.<br /><br />The 4-week strike broke a record as the longest industrial action by teachers in their push for implementation of a 50 to 60 percent pay increase awarded by the courts.
