Two Machakos County ministers have been sent on a three-month compulsory leave in major changes undertaken by Governor Alfred Mutua.<br />The two are Eng. Francis Maliti (Water) and Larry Wambua (Public Services).<br /><br />Grace Munguti was also appointed as the acting County Secretary to replace Francis Mwaka who is facing court charges related to abuse of office.<br /><br />The Special Programmes Chief Officer Lemi Muia was however sacked.<br /><br />Decentralised Units Minister Kioko Wa Luka will act as the Water Minister while Education Minister Hellen Kiilu will act as the Public Services Minister.<br /><br />Trade Minister Sunil Dhall will manage the Energy docket while Faith Wathome, Tourism Minister will assist in managing the garbage collection docket.<br /><br />Mutua also reshuffled four Chief Officers; Eng. Morris Aluanga was moved to Special Programmes from Roads, Nicholas Makau from Irrigation to Cooperatives and Catherine Nzila from Decentralised Units to the Office of the Governor for deployment.
