A plan to escape by prisoners at the Kamiti Maximum Security Prison was on Sunday night foiled in an operation by prison wardens.<br />Kenya Prisons Commissioner General Isaiah Osugo says no prisoner managed to escape saying the facuility is usually on a high alert since such plans are always in the offing.<br /><br />“There is no prisoner that wants to remain locked up. Nobody wants to stay in the prison,” he told Capital FM News.<br /><br />There were no injuries from both parties.<br /><br />It is not yet clear how many prisoners attempted to escape and how they had planned to execute their mission.
