President Uhuru Kenyatta Friday received instruments of the Jubilee Party which will bring together parties belonging to the ruling coalition and their allies.<br /><br />The interim committee tasked with laying down the foundations for the new party presented to him, the party’s interim constitution, its nomination rules, its election rules and a members’ handbook.<br /><br />The meeting at State House between President Kenyatta, his deputy William Ruto and the interim committee will be followed by the release of a roadmap to fold up the constituent parties to culminate in the launch of Jubilee Party in September.<br /><br />After receiving the party instruments, President Kenyatta said the new party will uphold democracy and the wishes of Kenyans.
