Kind-hearted villagers saved a man trapped in his car after it fell into an icy river in eastern China.<br /><br />The video, filmed in Dongying City in Shandong Province on January 20, shows several men walking over the surface of a frozen river to try to approach a car submerged up to its roof.<br /><br />Then they force open the car door and pull the driver out of the vehicle. <br /><br />Since Mr. Sun, the driver, was not familiar with the road and drove to what he thought was a bridge, and couldn't stop in time when he realised his mistake and rushed his car into the river.<br /><br />Thanks to a nearby villager, Gang Yanming, who saw the incident and got help from others nearby, Sun was rescued successfully after around 20 minutes.
