Ongoing flooding in the Indonesian province of South Sulawesi has left over 30 dead and thousands displaced, according to reports on January 24.<br /><br />This video shows search and rescue crew evacuating a landslide casualty in the area. <br /><br />Parts of Makassar City have been flooded following incessant heavy rain that fell from Monday evening until Tuesday noon. Floodwaters reached a height of up to 2.5 meters in several districts.<br /><br />Indonesia is currently experiencing the peak of the rainy season. The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has warned of possible hydrometeorological disasters to come.<br /><br />More than 3,000 people have been evacuated and at least 46 are being treated at local hospitals and health clinics.
