At least nine people have been killed and around three-hundred are missing,... after a dam collapsed at an iron ore mine in southeast Brazil.<br /> On Saturday, emergency authorities nearly doubled their estimate... on the number of people presumed missing... compared to its previous toll.<br />The dam, operated by Brazilian mining giant Vale, collapsed in the Brazilian state of ( ) Minas Gerais Friday 1 PM local time,... sending a massive torrent of mud over the complex and the neighbourhood where many of the workers live. <br />The governor of Minas Gerais said while everything is being done to rescue any survivors,... there was little chance of finding anyone still alive.<br />It is not yet clear... what exactly caused the dam to collapse. <br />
