As part of Australia Day celebrations, the Australian Defence Force performed a twenty-one gun salute at Kings Park, Perth, Western Australia on Saturday. <br /><br />Australia Day is the official national day of Australia which marks the anniversary of the 1788 arrival of the First Fleet of British ships at Port Jackson, New South Wales.<br /><br />The public holiday has become controversial with some people, especially indigenous Australians, referring to it as "Invasion Day".
