Starting this year, duty-free shops will be appearing in Incheon International Airport's arrival halls.<br />On Monday, the Korea Customs Service released the report "New Customs Administration 2019", which contains plans to reduce the inconvenience for passengers of having to carry duty-free items purchased in Korea, as well as create new jobs by turning overseas consumption into domestic consumption. <br />The operators are limited to small and medium-sized enterprises to help increase the variety of duty-free shops and develop win-win growth with large enterprises. The project will first run in Incheon International Airport for 6 months and then be expanded to other major airports nationwide. <br />Sales of tobacco products will be restricted, and shops won't be allowed to sell certain other items based on quarantine rules.
