A bike stunt went wrong and ended up injuring several spectators watching the Republic Day Parade at Palanpur in Gujarat, western India, on January 26. <br /><br />A woman police constable was standing upright balancing on the backseat of the bike, while holding a sword when she lost balance and fell down. <br /><br />But the bike continued with its momentum and hurtled into a crowd of spectators. Six school children who had come to watch the show were injured in the incident. <br /><br />Constable Rekha Ben, who was riding the bike, and her colleague on ground, Hina Ben, were also hurt. <br /><br />Officials rushed all eight injured to the Civil Hospital for treatment.<br /><br />Chief Minister Vijay Rupani visited the injured and directed the district administration to provide all possible medical aid to the injured.<br /><br />All of them have since been discharged.
