The South Korean government will increase its purchases of select products from small and medium-sized businesses in a bid to boost their sales.<br />The Ministry of SMEs and Startups said some small businesses make competitive products,... but don't sell as much as they should... because they aren't well-known on the market.<br />The government intends to buy huge quantities from the firms to promote the products on the wider market to give them a sales boost.<br />Last year, the government purchased products for roughly 24 million U.S. dollars.<br />This year, it will set aside 180 million dollars for the purchases. <br />
