Peter Jackson to Direct New Film <br />on The Beatles The announcement comes on the <br />50th anniversary of the Beatles <br />final public show together. On Jan. 30, 1969, the Beatles <br />played a rooftop concert at <br />Apple Records in London. The untitled documentary will be based <br />on 55 hours of unreleased footage of <br />the Beatles in the studio, as the group recorded their <br />final album, 'Let It Be.'
