President Moon Jae-in has welcomed the joint investment deal.<br />He pointed out what he called "Gwangju-type jobs," will be better quality jobs... and will take the nation closer to the goal of inclusivity.<br /><br />"Gwangju-type jobs will mark a very important, historic turning point in our move toward a nation of innovative employment. They will prove that through social dialogue we can create more jobs while keeping wages at an adequate level."<br /><br />The president highlighted work created by the deal will not only prompt job-seeking young adults to return to Gwangju but also manufacturing facilities that moved overseas to return home.<br />President Moon added the government will actively support other municipalities that want to benchmark models involving an agreement between the local government, labor, management and people. <br />
