South Korea's exports of food products, both fresh and processed, hit a record high in 2018... thanks mainly to an increase in shipments of fruit to Southeast Asia.<br /> According to the agriculture ministry, food exports came to around 9-point-3 billion U.S. dollars last year,... up 1-point-7 percent from the year before. <br />Popular items included fresh food, like fruit, and processed goods like ramen.<br />The ministry attributed the increase to more exports of pears to Vietnam.<br />Total food shipments to Vietnam rose by more than 20 percent compared to the previous year. <br />
