President Donald Trump urged lawmakers to work together and "reject the politics of revenge, resistance and retribution" in the first few minutes of his State of Union address. <br /> <br />Urging bipartisanship, Trump said "together, we can break decades of political stalemate, we can bridge old divisions, heal old wounds, build new coalitions." <br /> <br />And he urged members of Congress to "choose greatness." <br /> <br />Trump is expected to seek bipartisan support in his speech for his bid to build a wall on the border with Mexico as the deadline to avert another government shutdown draws near.
