Footage from the Lake District today (February 8) shows rivers turning into raging torrents during the storm that is hitting the UK this weekend.<br /><br />The clip, filmed in picturesque tourist spot Ambleside, shows the effects of Storm Erik with the waterfall surging powerfully after the heavy rain. <br /><br />The storm is expected to bring up to 70mph winds along the coast by Friday afternoon, threatening power cuts and flooding to much of the UK.
