British Actor <br />Albert Finney Dead at 82 Finney's family announced <br />that the five-time Oscar <br />nominee died after a short illness. The actor rose to fame as the <br />"angry young man" in the British <br />new wave film, Saturday Night <br />and Sunday Morning. His performance in <br />Tom Jones catapulted <br />him into international fame. Notable Oscar nominated <br />performances include the <br />1984 film, The Dresser and playing opposite of <br />Julia Roberts in the <br />Steven Soderbergh <br />film, Erin Brokovich. Notable performances of the <br />last thirty years include an <br />Irish American gangster in the <br />Coen brother's Miller's Crossing and a gamekeeper in <br />the 2012 Bond film, Skyfall.
