A massive snowstorm prompted the U.S. state of Washington... to declare an emergency this weekend.<br />The storm, called Maya, brought a year's worth of snow in just one day to many places in the Pacific Northwest.<br /> The Seattle area got around 18 centimeters of snow, causing more than 180 flights to be canceled as of Saturday morning.<br />Tens of thousands in the state were without power.<br />In California, more than 120 visitors and staff were rescued from a resort in Sierra Nevada after being snowed in for five days.<br />And the radar shows there's still more snow to come in the next day or so. <br />
