His music video debuted on May 5, 2018,<br />and was an instant hit, amassing over<br />35 million views on YouTube in only two days. "This Is America" features a dark, pessimistic<br />view of black life in the United States, with images of gun violence and references<br />to slavery appearing throughout the video<br />as Gambino dances in the foreground.
