The National Guard will begin withdrawing troops immediately, but they will have until March 31 to remove all troops assigned to the California border. After California withdraws its <br />360 troops, 1,145 will remain <br />in Texas and 580 in Arizona. Newsom will reassign about <br />110 troops to help with preparation <br />for California's next wildfire season.
