The South Korean government announced on Tuesday that it will increase its investments this year in businesses related to "smart factories."<br />These factories use information and communications technology... to improve their productivity.<br />According to the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, the government will invest around 304-point-7 million U.S. dollars this year mainly to build new smart factories or improve existing ones.<br />That's an increase from the previous year's figure of 118-point-2 million.<br />The government wants to use this technology to boost Korea's manufacturing, a main driver of its economic growth. <br />
