Underground The Julian Assange Story Director Robert Connolly talks to Red Carpet News TV in an exclusive Interview at the BFI London Film Festival 2012.<br /><br />Based on the bestselling book of Suelette Dreyfus the film chronicles the early life of controversial Wikileaks founder Julian Assange. The film stars Rachel Griffiths, Anthony LaPaglia and Alex Williams.<br /><br />Rachel Griffiths plays the young hackers mother Christine Assange, and Anthona LaPaglia plays Detective Ken Roberts, an Australian Federal Police officer who heads the team tasked with tracking him down. <br /><br />The film focuses on Assange's hacking past as while still only 17 he takes on the US military with a group of Melbourne hackers and grabs the attention of international authorities<br /><br />Julian Assange is now one of the most infamous and controversial political figures on the planet thanks to founding whistle-blower website Wikileaks and currently claiming asylum in the Ecuadorian embassy in London to avoid extradition to Sweden on charges of sexual assault which he denies and claims to be a politically motivated attack driven by American anger of his websites embarrassing political disclosures.
