Aviation giant Airbus said it will stop making its A380 superjumbo in 2021 after Dubai-based carrier Emirates, the largest customer for the model, decided to cut its order. In a statement, Airbus said the airline is reducing its orderbook from 162 to 123 aircraft and as a result, the manufacturer has “no substantial A380 backlog” and “no basis to sustain production.” Australia’s Qantas Airways had also canceled an order for eight Airbus A380 jets in early February, 2019.<br />(Photo: Reuters)
