This is the chilling moment a sleeping dog falls prey to a leopard that makes a stealth attack at night in south India. <br /><br />CCTV footage shows a few dogs sleeping at a brick kiln in Huliyur Durga village near Kunigal in Karnataka state the night of January 12. <br /><br />A leopard sneaks in and quickly pounces upon one of the sleeping dogs. Though the startled dog tries to escape, it stands no chance and is carried away in an instant. <br /><br />A few other dogs get up and run in different directions in fear. <br /><br />Local residents complained that the leopard has been raiding their homes to carry off pets and cattle. They have demanded the forest officials trap the leopard and take it away.
