Amazon Abandons HQ2 Plan <br />in New York City Since the announcement to build its second headquarters in <br />Long Island City, the e-commerce giant has been met with a ton of pushback. Those against the project often ripped the $3 billion in government incentives Amazon would <br />have received. They also said construction within an area like the Queens borough would have caused huge infrastructure issues. Amazon will now entertain <br />20 other finalists who were in the mix. These locations include <br />Newark, New Jersey and <br />Nashville, Tennessee.
