William Barr Is <br />Confirmed as <br />US Attorney General The Senate confirmed <br />Barr on Thursday by <br />a vote of 54 to 45. The vote was <br />mostly along <br />party lines, with Republican Senators <br />voting for and Democratic <br />Senators opposing <br />his confirmation. The appointment is Barr's <br />second as Attorney General. Known as "the President's <br />lawyer," Barr supports <br />expansive executive authority. He'll be in charge of how to <br />handle the result of special <br />counsel Robert Mueller's <br />investigation once it's complete. Mueller is investigating <br />possible collusion between <br />the Trump campaign and Russia <br />to influence the 2016 election. During his confirmation <br />hearings, Barr wouldn't <br />commit to making <br />Mueller's findings public, but he did say <br />he would publish <br />"as much as I can." William Barr, via CNN
