Along with the recent rise in measles cases in Korea, the number of cases reported worldwide last year has doubled from the previous year. <br />According to the World Health Organization on Thursday, 2-hundred-29-thousand cases of measles were reported across the globe in 2018.<br />The WHO said that the number of measles cases reported is less than one tenth of actual number of cases and estimated more than 2-million people had contracted measles last year. <br />Europe had 82-thousand-six-hundred reported cases, accounting for one-third of all cases worldwide.<br />The WHO said that as measles is highly contagious, getting vaccinated from the disease is crucial. <br />
