Seoul's Defense Minister Jeong Kyeong-doo inspected South Korean troops stationed in the region as part of the Ahk and Cheonghae units during his visit to the UAE on Friday.<br /> At a shipboard reception to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Cheonghae unit's deployment,... Minister Jeong said the naval unit has served as a guardian in the Gulf of Aden... in carrying out anti-piracy missions since 2009.<br />Earlier, Jeong also visited the Ahk unit... which has long been one of the cornerstones of military cooperation between South Korea and the UAE.<br />The Ahk unit was dispatched in early 2011... to help train the UAE's special forces and conduct joint-military drills in the region. <br />
