Hyundai Motor and Kia Motors have seen diesel car sales decrease to just 33-point-8 percent of the total cars the firms sold in 2018.<br />According to Korea Automobile Manufacturers Association, the number has been on a continuous decline since 2015 when diesel vehicle sales made up 41-point-9 percent of the total.<br />On the other hand, hybrid and electric cars are highly popular and sales of such cars from Hyundai Motor and Kia Motors have increased by 20 percent last year.<br />As the domestic market is moving towards eco-friendly vehicles, and as charging infrastructure for electric vehicles improves, the automobile industry expects sales of diesel cars to keep falling. <br />
