Jussie Smollett's 'Empire' Role <br />Cut Amid 'Attack' Scandal Smollett was recently accused <br />of paying two men to <br />stage an attack against him. According to TMZ, the claims have <br />prompted 'Empire' producers to drastically <br />cut his upcoming appearances on the show. In the second to last episode, which is <br />currently being filmed, Smollett was <br />supposed to have 9 scenes and a musical number. The script has reportedly <br />undergone numerous revisions. TMZ's sources say that 5 of his scenes, as well as the musical performance, have been dropped. Smollett will not be a focal <br />point in the remaining 4 scenes. Smollett's assault case will <br />be heard by a Grand Jury. If the actor is found guilty of <br />presenting a false police report, <br />he would face a felony indictment.
