South Korea's finance minister says the 5G wireless network, which will be launched in Korea next month, will help improve people's quality of life. <br />At an innovative growth strategy meeting on Wednesday, Minister Hong said the government's tax incentives and R&D investment in the 5G wireless network have led to fruitful results and that the country's top three mobile carriers will invest more than 2-point-six billion U.S. dollars in 5G this year. <br />He added that the government has chosen the first two locations for the establishment of smart industrial zones: Changwon in Gyeongsangnam-do province, and Banwol Sihwa in Gyeonggi-do province. <br />The government's plan is to create 10 smart industrial complexes by 2022 as part of efforts to boost manufacturing competitiveness. <br />
