An injured calf was rescued by a family after hearing its cries from the bottom of a deep trench in northeast India. <br /><br />Last Sunday (February 17) a family walking in Cherrapunje, Meghalaya state overheard the cries of the calf coming from the hole and went to investigate.<br /><br />It takes three people to push the calf over the side of the hole, while another pulls the calf up in order to reunite it with its mother.
