LeBron's 'Space Jam 2' Gets <br />Summer 2021 Release Date If you wanna jam, mark your calendars for July 16, 2021. Warner Bros. and SpringHill Entertainment confirmed the date for the highly-anticipated sequel. 'Black Panther' director Ryan Coogler is producing and Terence Nance will direct 'Space Jam 2.' The film will be a follow-up to 1996's 'Space Jam,' featuring Michael Jordan. It will be James' first starring role after acting as a supporting character in Amy Schumer's 2015 comedy, 'Trainwreck.' It is not yet known which other NBA stars <br />will star alongside James, Bugs Bunny and <br />the 'Looney Tunes' gang. The 1996 film featured former NBA stars <br />Larry Bird, Charles Barkley, Patrick Ewing, <br />Muggsy Bogues and Shawn Bradley. 'Space Jam' grossed <br />$230 million worldwide.
