The film is about the bond <br />he develops with an Italian-<br />American he's hired as protection <br />during a 1962 tour of the Deep South. The award is Ali's <br />second best supporting<br />actor Oscar, having previously <br />won for the 2016 <br />film, Moonlight. Other actors nominated <br />in the category included <br />Adam Driver, Sam Elliot, <br />Richard E. Grant and Sam Rockwell. Ali dedicated <br />his Oscar to <br />his grandmother.
