China has discovered a reserve of over 100 billion cubic metres of natural gas inside the country’s second largest oil and gas field.<br />The China National Offshore Oil Corporation said the discovery in the Bozhong 19-6 gas field in northern China’s Bohai Bay is enough to support a million people’s energy supplies for more than 100 years. The discovery is considered a milestone since the complicated terrain makes finding natural reserves very difficult in the Bohai Sea, the innermost gulf of the Yellow Sea.<br />Meanwhile, in Xinjiang, oil and gas company PetroChina drilled an onshore well of over 8,800 metres (28,900 feet), making it reportedly the deepest onshore oil well in the world.<br />
