Smith wasn’t officially signed for the sequel,<br />but the studio had hoped for his return alongside<br />other big name stars like Margot Robbie. It’s unconfirmed whether Robbie will<br />continue her iconic role as Harley Quinn,<br />or Viola Davis as Amanda Walker. The ‘Suicide Squad’ sequel will<br />feature an almost entirely new cast,<br />as new director James Gunn<br />relaunches the franchise. ‘Suicide Squad’ was released in 2016<br />and made $745 million globally. More information about the sequel is predicted<br />to drop soon, as production is scheduled to start<br />in September 2019 in Atlanta, Georgia.
