Uddhav Thackeray: Nitish opposing Modi to woo Muslim votes

India News: Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray launched a scathing attack on JD(U) leader and Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar by saying that he is opposing Narendra Modi as PM because of Muslim votes. Uddhav Thackeray made a mockery of Nitish Kumar's selective secularism as a product of ambition, political calculation and circumstance.<br />The ruptures in NDA over the issue surfaced after JDU on Sunday virtually vetoed Modi's much speculated projection as BJP's Prime Ministerial nominee demanding a "secular" candidate for it. <br /><br />Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray in his party mouthpiece,"Saamna", said "How is it possible that Nitish is with BJP but not with Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi ."Further saying " Narendra Modi is within Bharatiya Janta party ".Nitish Kumar's selective secularism is a product of ambition, political calculation and circumstance. It is going to do nothing to strengthen Indian secularism. It will, if anything, make a bigger mockery of it.
