About 700 accounts belonging to Indians in a Geneva bank may now be investigated for irregularities. The govt of France has handed over this list of accounts in HSBC Geneva, to New Delhi last month. CBDT has been asked to scrutinize each account to probe possible tax evasion. Special teams are said to have been constituted to carry out investigation in Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata.
