Narendra Modi called up Uddhav Thackeray, the head of the Shiv Sena, on Tuesday evening as the the BJP attempted to reassure him that their 25-year-old alliance is a priority and not in danger.<br />As part of that outreach, Rajiv Pratap Rudy, a senior BJP leader who is in charge of Maharashtra, met Mr Thackeray at his Mumbai home this evening.<br />"We met Mr Thackeray at his residence Matoshree; the meeting was held in an amicable environment.
